*****

The summer is coming so the yearning knocks on my door

And it (the summer) leads my ride to those vast and bright lands like youth dreams

And delicious (lands) like the hours of blame

A bank that has my longing and my drink

And boyhood, love and the dew hugging beauty

And the scenes of the seaside promenade on Sunday

I walked with the memory and my longing along a way that combines the magic and classy art

And love is between sunset and sunrise

It (love) is merciful with the boy, the child and the old man

We are all yearning for each other there

Without an appointment we met in time

On this beach on Sunday

A parade like a tune that flows and gets clear

And the wishes are beating and floating like light

And the dreams are a series of good news that are told with pleasure

These dreams are happy with the joyful imagination

In the fresh afternoon on Sunday

****

Oh, the passerby who looks like a beautiful dream

With an amazing look and a noble face

How do you meet me and then go away from my path?

With anger at what happened on the departure day

So, forgive the past and enlighten my tomorrow

Oh, the beach angel on Sunday

I came back to meet you with my guitar and my cup

Like an uncertain boat that docked in your singing place

So, fold my paddle and bring today back to yesterday

Like a bird that flies in the horizons of myself

With two wings that are romantic dates and comfort

So, the age comes back like a fresh resource

Like the scenes of the seaside promenade on Sunday

An explanation of this piece from the arabic poems

The Christian poet Edward Hanna Saad asks his lover to forgive him with a very gentle way here. He actually blamed him saying:  How do you meet me and then go away from my path? But he isn’t too absorbed a lot in this.  He describes him after that with expression “the beautiful dream”.

the poet hardly can imagine his life without that love, so he tries to come back “with his guitar and cup” as he said. It is a flawless romantic poem with a lot of sensual emotions.
